Albums of the year 2009: A change of pace

Hope you've enjoyed my albums of 2009 list so far, it's only going to get better.

I just wanted to mix things up a bit becuse while deciding what to put on my list I remembered those albums that everyone else loves that I'm not really fussed about. No big hoopla but just in case you dig them or just want to see what the big deal is here's 3 that have been topping other lists that i've seen.

I read NME this week and saw the list of their 50 albums of the past 10 years and whether I agree or not I thought that it would be amazing if someone put the list up with all the download links. I figured I doubt no one will bother but then I thought, you know what would be a nice thing to do!? :D This is my thanks for reading my blog guys, as will be everything I post in the next month, it keeps going from strength to strength and if no one read it I would have stopped ages ago.

So I posted the new arctic monkeys yesterday, I listened to it once, had an opinion, thought that I might have a better one after a second listen but then decided to listen to the rumble strips instead. I'm not into reviewing newly released albums because it's like forcing an opinion on someone before they really get a chance to hear it properly for themselves, like loads of people won't hear rumble strips "welcome to the walk alone" because it got a 4/10 in nme where, for example, wild beasts got 9/10 this week when they just happen to be in with this whole animal name trippy flavour of the month thing. So yes, I shant be reviewing it, I reserve this for live gigs that not everyone had the opportunity to be at. I have an opinion sure but ya know.

Anyway bottom line is I haven't posted much due to work/gigs/illness and any music finding energy I have going towards the indie/rock playlist but I feel like i'm all better now and want to review all the great gigs I've got in august and maybe even a retrospective on truck so I'll get this up and going.
